How we got started

The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur, located in Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan, represents a significant milestone in advancing women education in the region. The university was established in 2009, named after Begum Nusrat Bhutto, the mother of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. She was a strong advocate for women empowerment and played a crucial role in political history of Pakistan. The university, inspired by her vision, focuses on empowering women through higher education and offering them opportunities for personal and professional growth. The university has provided a platform for women to pursue higher studies, engage in research, and take on leadership roles, all of which contribute to the societal development of women in Pakistan. Through its various programs in disciplines such as social sciences, education, health, and technology, BNBWU has played a pivotal role in transforming the educational landscape for women. This new era encompasses not only access to education but also the breaking of traditional barriers, providing a modern approach to women's rights and educational opportunities. The university, by offering a nurturing and supportive environment, has inspired many women to excel academically, socially, and professionally, empowering them to become leaders and change-makers in society.
