Introduction

The Department of Human and Rehabilitation Sciences is currently offering following degree programs:

  1. Doctor of Physiotherapy (5 Year Program)
  2. BS Biotechnology (4 Year program)
  3. BS Chemistry (4 Year Program)
  4. BS Genetics (4 Year Program)
  5. BS Environmental Sciences (4 Year Program)

Rehabilitation is an area of study that explores human disability and function and helps individual achieve optimal health. The program helps people to regain, maintain and improve abilities that they need in their daily lives. Rehabilitation is a broad term that includes Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Psychology.

Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary field with wide applications in medicine, diagnostics, hereditary defect treatments, regenerative technology, biopharmaceutical drugs, vaccine technology, nanotechnology, agricultural products, bio-pesticides, food technology, animal breeding and environment remediation.

The department aims to produce graduate with cutting edge laboratory skills, latest theoretical concepts and research skills. The department has got highly motivated faculty with requisite qualification and expertise to ensure the quality of education. The department is equipped with cutting edge laboratory facilities and Smart class rooms.

Students will be exposed from basic concepts to current trends of theory and research of their respective field of the study. Though department is currently offering undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs will also be offered in the near future.

Welcome to the Department of Human and Rehabilitation Sciences at The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University, Sukkur.

Our department boasts state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster advanced learning and hands-on experience in laboratory instrumental techniques. In the era of multidisciplinary research, we offer a diverse range of interconnected programs. Currently, we have Doctor of Physical therapy, BS Biotechnology, and BS Chemistry. In the near future, we plan to introduce additional programs including Doctor of Pharmacy, BS Physical Education, BS Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), BS Nursing, BS Genetics, BS Public Health, and MS in Nano biotechnology. These programs are carefully interlinked to facilitate collaboration among students with varied expertise across different labs. Our goal is to cultivate graduates who not only excel but also lead in their respective fields on a global scale.
