MS Physics

This is the title

The Master of Science (MS) in Physics program is designed in alignment with the HEC Graduate Education Policy 2023, offering a comprehensive and advanced understanding of core areas in physics. The MS Physics program will offer a modern curriculum designed to cater to the academic and research needs of graduate students. In addition to foundational physics topics, the program will include advanced training in experimental techniques, computational physics, and the application of computational tools in data analysis. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in active research projects, contributing to the development of physics in the region and beyond.

PEO - 1: Equip graduates with an advanced and broad understanding of core areas in physics, enabling them to pursue research, innovation, and higher studies.
PEO - 2: Develop students' capacity to apply theoretical, computational, and experimental techniques to solve complex physical problems relevant to academia and industry.
PEO - 3: Foster the ability to conduct independent research, effectively communicate scientific ideas, and contribute to national and global scientific communities.
PEO - 4: Prepare graduates for leadership roles in academia, research institutions, and industries, promoting ethical practices and sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
PEO - 5: Encourage lifelong learning and interdisciplinary collaboration in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, quantum computing, soft matter, and nuclear technology.
Upon completion of the MS Physics program, graduates will be able to:
PLO - 1: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fundamental and advanced concepts in classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, statistical physics, and particle physics
PLO - 2: Apply mathematical and computational tools to model, simulate, and analyze complex physical systems.
PLO - 3: Design and conduct advanced experimental research, using modern instrumentation and techniques in laboratory and computational settings.
PLO - 4: Formulate and solve physics-related problems critically and creatively in academic or applied contexts.
PLO - 5: Communicate scientific information clearly and effectively through technical writing, oral presentations, and research publications
PLO - 6: Exhibit professional and ethical responsibility in research, collaboration, and scientific practices.
PLO - 7: Engage in independent learning and demonstrate adaptability to emerging trends and technologies in physics and interdisciplinary areas
PLO - 8: Contribute to sustainable development and community advancement through the application of physics knowledge and research.
