BS Biotechnology
Biotechnology is an advanced field science where biological systems such as living organisms, cellular, subcellular parts, enzymes or complex microorganisms are applied in basic, technical, industrial processes and cutting-edge translational research. These biological systems serve as biocatalyst for the conversion of the raw material into desired product. Biotechnology is multidisciplinary field found in wide applications in medicine, diagnostics, and cure of hereditary defects, regenerative technology biopharmaceutical drugs, vaccine technology, nanotechnology, agriculture products, bio pesticides, food technology, and animal breeding and in environment remediation. The aim of BS in Biotechnology is to develop indigenous manpower experts in biotechnology that will help the industry of biotechnology by making novel achievements. The students may seek their career in educational institutes, scientific research and development, management in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector.

The following are the key learning outcomes of the program:
PLO - 1: Graduate will be able to analyze and find out the solution using biotechnology concepts.
PLO - 2: Graduate will be able to identify, formulate, review the research literature, identify the complex biotechnology problems, and hypothesize solution applying the fundamental principles.
PLO - 3: Graduate will be able use experimental and research tools for the verification of the hypothesized solution to the problem by utilizing the biotechnological techniques while maintaining the biotechnology standards, cultural, societal, and
environmental considerations.

Eligibilty Criteria
The minimum requirement for admission in these degree programs is 50% marks in Intermediate-HSC (Pre-Medical) or A-levels with Biology or equivalent, certified by IBCC. Note: Pre-Engineering Students with Add-Biology can also applyFees Structure
