In continuation of the efforts of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, to provide greater educational opportunities and financial support to deserving students, the University successfully conducted interviews for the Zakat Need-cum-Merit Based Scholarship Program on 19th and 20th May 2026.
The interviews were conducted by Mr. Shabir Ahmed Memon (Assistant Director, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Sukkur Division), Mir Arif Hussain Talpur (Assistant Professor, H&RSS), and a representative of the District Zakat Council Sukkur, in coordination with the Student Financial Aid Department.
The interview process aimed to assess the financial needs of applicants and ensure transparent selection of genuinely deserving and financially challenged students. This initiative reflects BNBWUโs continued commitment to equitable access to education, student welfare, and empowering young women through inclusive financial support mechanisms.
