BNBWU Strengthens Academic Quality through 7th Board of Studies Meeting of the Department of Education

In continuation of the efforts of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, to strengthen academic quality, curriculum development and HEC-aligned academic practices, the Department of Linguistics & Social Sciences convened its 7th Meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) on 1 October 2026. The meeting was held under the supervision of Dr. Ram Chand, Dean Faculty, and Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Chairperson, with participation from distinguished external experts and internal faculty members.
The Board deliberated on key academic matters, including the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses in the BS English (Language, TESOL & Literature) and BS Islamic Studies programmes in line with HEC recommendations. It also reviewed the sequencing of selected courses to ensure stronger academic progression and better alignment with curricular requirements. External members included Dr. Zulfiqar Shah, Dr. Tania Laghari, Dr. Aziz-ur-Rehman and Dr. Khair Muhammad, while internal members included Ms. Amina Bibi Bhatti, Mr. Rafique Ahmed, Dr. Javed Ahmed, Mr. Sarmad Aftab Lashari, Ms. Javeriya Baloch and Mr. Roop Chand. The meeting reflected BNBWU’s continued commitment to structured academic governance, curriculum innovation and continuous quality enhancement.
