The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, had the honor of hosting Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhter (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Chairman, Higher Education Commission, (HEC), Pakistan, who visited the University and was briefed on its academic progress, ongoing projects, and institutional development.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor BNBWU, extended her sincere gratitude to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for its continued support in strengthening the Universityβs academic and infrastructural landscape. She highlighted the remarkable journey of BNBWU from its modest beginnings to its emergence as a vibrant center of higher learning.
Expressing his admiration, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhter appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and remarked, in a light yet appreciative tone, βHave you placed a jinn here?β, referring to the extraordinary pace of development. He observed that transforming a once barren and deserted land into a thriving academic oasis, rich with greenery, modern infrastructure, and a vibrant learning environment within such a short span is truly beyond imagination. He further commended the Universityβs focus on strengthening academic quality through the induction of qualified PhD faculty, which has significantly contributed to its rapid progress.
He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, (QUEST), and both dignitaries acknowledged BNBWUβs contributions towards promoting quality education and womenβs empowerment.
The visit reflects strong national recognition of BNBWUβs achievements and reinforces its continued journey towards academic excellence, innovation, and institutional growth.
