The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with national pride and enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to unity, responsibility and service to the country. The celebrations commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the National Anthem and cake cutting. Students and faculty participated through Qirat, debate, Milli Naghma, cultural representations, and a faculty panel discussion reflecting on Pakistanβs journey, national identity and the responsibilities of the younger generation.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, BNBWU, paid tribute to the sacrifices behind the creation of Pakistan and emphasized the importance of education, national unity and responsible citizenship for the countryβs progress. She also acknowledged the courage, sacrifices and steadfast role of Pakistanβs Armed Forces in safeguarding the countryβs sovereignty and national security. She encouraged young women to pursue knowledge, leadership and innovation and contribute meaningfully towards a stronger, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
