𝐁𝐍𝐁𝐖𝐔 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬: 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐀𝐎 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩

Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, called on Mr. James Okoth, Officer In Charge, FAO, and Ms. Amina Asif Bajwa, Head of Programme, FAO, to explore a strategic partnership between BNBWU and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in areas of food security, climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable resource management, nutrition, food safety, and community development.

The discussions identified potential avenues for joint research, funded projects and community-based interventions, with particular emphasis on northern Sindh. Opportunities for student and graduate engagement, groundwater and climate research, food safety, nutrition, biodiversity conservation, and capacity building for young women were also explored. The meeting further discussed a proposed International Conference on Food Safety in collaboration with FAO, marking an important step towards connecting BNBWU’s academic expertise with international development initiatives for sustainable impact in Sindh.
