Renowned Journalists Visit BNBWU Sukkur, Appreciate University’s Remarkable Transformation and Academic Growth

A distinguished delegation of renowned journalists and media professionals from across Pakistan visited The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, where they were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan, Vice Chancellor. The delegation included senior journalist and analyst Mr. Mazhar Abbas, Ms. Ambar Rahim Shamsi, former Director IBA-CEJ Karachi; Mr. Owais Toheed, senior journalist and former Director News; Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, Federal Urdu University; Mr. Suhail Sangi, columnist, Daily Dawn; Ms. Nazish Brohi, writer and columnist; Mr. Akram Khan, Head of Jang Forum, Daily Jang Karachi; Ms. Noreen Shams, Executive Director, Center for Media Development (CMD); Ms. Fouzia Shaheen, Editor, Monthly Dastak and Executive Director, Women Media Center (WMC); Mr. Nizam-uddin Siddiqui, News Editor, Daily Dawn Karachi; Mr. Ajiz Jamali, TV Channel 21; and Mr. Asad Mumtaz, programme anchor and contributor to Daily Guardian. The delegation interacted with students and faculty and appreciated BNBWU’s remarkable transformation from barren land into a vibrant green campus, extensive development, modern academic facilities, conducive learning environment and recruitment of highly qualified faculty. They acknowledged the University’s growing contribution to quality higher education and women’s empowerment in the region.
