In line with her strategic focus on bridging academia with industry and equipping students with practical, career-oriented skills, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, continues to foster meaningful collaborations that translate education into employability and professional excellence. Reflecting this approach, BNBWU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department Of Empowerment Of Person With Disabilities (DEPD) to expand opportunities for student training and development.
The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Abdul Qudoos, Regional Director DEPD, and Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi along with Mr. Atif Riaz on behalf of BNBWU, marking a significant step towards strengthening institutional collaboration and practical learning pathways.
Under this collaboration, students of BNBWU will be provided with internship opportunities at DEPD centers in Sukkur, Khairpur, and Ghotki, ensuring valuable field exposure. Furthermore, students enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program will undergo structured practical training placements of 3 to 6 months, enabling them to strengthen their clinical skills and professional competencies.
This initiative reinforces BNBWU’s commitment to creating industry-aligned learning pathways, empowering students with real-world experience, and preparing them to emerge as skilled, confident, and impactful professionals in their respective fields.
